About this Coach

Our Coach, a Malaysian, is an executive coach based in Singapore. He brings to his coaching more than 20 years of experience working in large multinationals like Shell in a diverse multi-cultural environment. His previous line leadership and consulting experience enables him to bring to his coaching a unique blend of pragmatism, theoretical and personal understanding of the issues and challenges faced by executives and leaders working in dynamic and complex contexts. His approach centers on bringing deeper self-awareness, providing both challenge and support and fostering personal ownership of the desired goals and/or changes.

In his coaching practice, he calls upon approaches and techniques from a multitude of approaches such as values clarification, cognitive self-leadership, mindfulness, NLP and systems thinking to support and challenge individuals to tap into their best selves to achieve extraordinary results and undertake transformative learning. Core principles that underpin his coaching are treating others with deep respect, dignity and compassion. He has coached leaders from different industries in the Asia-Pacific Regionincluding corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors.

Our coach spent 13 years with Shell in various capacities in project management, organizational change, people development and later on as Head of Organizational Development at Singapore Institute of Management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering (NTU) and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Monash University. He was the lead adjunct lecturer in Organizational Development and Change at SUSS (Singapore University of Social Science) and author of the book “Conversations About Success – What Matters and How to Achieve It”.
