Expected Results

  • Progress-U becomes a key player in the specified target market(s)
  • Achieves or exceeds sales results in these markets
  • Assists Progress-U to further enhance its image and drives profitability through increased value perception


  • Reports to Managing Partner


  • Define the target market(s) locally and ideal client profile
  • Analyze the competition in this/these market(s)
  • Develops/updates strategic Business Development Plan
  • Acquires new relevant contacts on a regular basis through a blend of cold calling, networking and referrals
  • Qualifies incoming leads and takes appropriate measures to achieve a high lead-conversion rate (> 30%)
  • Maintains client contact and opportunity data up-to-date in Progress-U’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Reports sales leads as requested by Managing Partner
  • Conducts Program Briefing Sessions for marketing purpose

Our Expectations: 
  • Minimum 5 years of sales / business development experience
  • Experience (min. 2 years) in selling coaching and/or training services
  • Existing network with senior executives, especially in HR and L&D in Hong Kong and/or South China
  • Outgoing, willing to seek new contacts pro-actively (cold-calling, networking, etc.)
  • Talent for sales, becoming familiar with Stop Selling! Approach (BD Director will be trained by Progress-U)
  • Very fluent in English, Cantonese and/or Putonghua is a plus
  • Pro-active, strong willingness to take initiative
  • Fit with Progress-U’s core values (Care, Integrity & Professionalism)
  • High willingness for self-improvement/continuous learning
